Foster Me!
Noname (pronounced No-nah-me) came to the orphanage as a new resident during a flurry of rescue calls happening within days of each other. An almost 6-hour drive (450+km) took us to the Okavango Delta panhandle for this rescue mission.
The panhandle can be a harsh environment. It’s possible her mother died from the current drought conditions, although it could have been from human-wildlife conflict. We saw a few deceased elephants in the area—one of them may have been Noname’s mother.
At just seven months old, she’s one of the youngest rescues we’ve ever had. She’s getting her goat milk mixed with supplements to make sure she puts on weight and becomes as healthy as her new friends at the orphanage.
